Rasheed documents the life of the filmmaker’s late uncle, Rasheed Broum, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike during Israel’s invasion of Lebanon in 1982. Samia Badih is a documentary filmmaker from Lebanon. She has a B.A. in English Literature and Language from Beirut Arab University as well as another degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Maryland. Based in Abu Dhabi, she currently works as a multimedia reporter for the Gulf News producing online content for the web as well as print stories for the daily. Rasheed is her first feature documentary.
